Tasting Notes: This well-rounded medium-body blend of Cab Franc, Merlot and Cab Sauvignon is a true snapshot of the all-around potential of the Niagara Peninsula when it comes to red blends. A slight usage of oak helps the expression and complexity while the 14% alcohol brings more weight and body. On the nose, aromas of black cherry, red currant, plum, violet and dark cocoa are seductive and generous and give you a good idea of what is coming up next on the palate. The flavours are well defined on the front-palate leading with black cherry, cassis and plum before a hint of fresh herbs appears on the mid-palate. The back-end brings dark chocolate, licorice and more of the black cherries, with a spark of light spices at the very end. Enjoyable and well-priced.

Food Pairing: To complement the flavour profile of this wine, a fantastic food pairing option would be seared duck breast with a blackberry reduction. The succulent and tender duck breast, enhanced by the sweet and tangy blackberry reduction, harmonizes beautifully with the wine's black fruit notes of cherry, plums, and currants
