2020 Bella Terra Wild Ferment Riesling

Tasting Notes: It’s no secret that the 2020 vintage was a spectacular year for the warm Four Mile Creek appellation in Niagara-on-the-Lake, and our “Wild Ferment” Riesling is no exception. Fermented with 100% indigenous yeast from our home vineyard, this wine has developed aromas of orange blossom, honey suckle, green apple, grapefruit and a spark of white flowers like jasmine and lilac. The palate has already evolved and offers great textural and creamy aspects with flavours of mandarin, orange jelly, green apple and a mouth-watering fresh pineapple on the back-palate. The spice on the finish extends the experience with white pepper, lemongrass and cardamom, which adds an extra layer of complexity to this already “geeky” wine.

Food Pairings: Experience the complex and vibrant 2020 Wild Ferment Riesling paired with Shrimp Tempura. The tempura's delicate, golden crunch harmonizes with the Riesling's notes of mandarin and pineapple.
